The choker necklace was a huge fashion trend in the twenties, often nothing more than a ribbon of varying colors to match their outfits and a small medallion as an accent piece.  Choker necklaces have always been a popular necklace that completes the goth look with either a black or red in color, accented with a lace pattern.  The necklace really hi-lights the slim neck and shoulders.

However recent trends in the fashion world as well as celebrities are bringing the choker style back.  The recent runway trend had a few models sporting a choker necklace around their necks.
